Remember the Starfish story, "Well, I might not be able to save all of them, but I can save this one." Inspired by that story, Amanda deLange does this for Chinese orphans. I read her story last summer in a BYU magazine. It's incredible--she applied to become a Chinese orphanage, approved in 4 days. Takes babies destined for death, nurtures them to health, started with five, now has more than a hundred.

A worthwhile place to donate, she will be our Christmas Star this year.

Wow! I have heard of this (or something similar) shortly after we returned from our China stay. So glad someone is doing this and I'm happy they are your Christmas Star!
